  • Key Objectives *: CAEPA Cameroon was founded by a group of women seeking to improve their agricultural production systems by making them environment friendly and sustainable especially. Later they realized the linkage between natural resource rights, and climate and environmental justice. They also realised there was a connection between land degradation, poverty and violence against women and HIV and AIDS. They included fighting against violence in the programmes. Since 2009, its activities have expanded to address issues of natural resource rights, climate and environmental justice, and their connection to land degradation, poverty and violence against women/girls and HIV and AIDS.

  • Major or Current Achievements *: advocacy efforts, the number of Mbororo Councillors in local government positions rose from 27 in 2007 to 48 in 2013 and women councilors increased from 179 to 285 in 2013 with 26% representation of women elected in government position in the Northwest Region of Cameroon. In addition, he has carried out surveys and forums on gender-based violence and through these community discussions to determine the challenges and needs. A pilot program has been created to provide community-based assistance to women and children experiencing domestic violence through learning vocational trades such as tailoring and interior design and supporting educational costs for the children.
