The Spindle Supports the Global Goals Jam 2017 to stimulate the achievement of the SDGs

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and MediaLAB Amsterdam, are presenting the 2nd edition of the #GlobalGoalsJam.

We are all looking for design/ prototype interventions for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) and ask for local challenges that matter to you & your partner organisations.

In 2017 the Global Goals Jam will take place all over the world from the 15th till the 17th of September. Connecting Today, Creating Tomorrow. Let's #Design2030Now!

The #GlobalGoalsJam is a two-day event consisting of human centered design sprints. Creative teams located all over the world, consisting of designers, experts, developers, and other creatives, work together on SDG-challenges, using a tailored (user centered design) toolkit. The teams create interventions aimed at short term targets in support of the long term goals. In 2016, 17 cities joined and over 500 creators, experts and designers developed concepts, ideas and prototypes. To organize this, the UN reached out to the (service) design field to bring in their expertise in multidisciplinary problem-solving and human centered design methodology.

To increase the impact and sustainability of solutions coming out of the jams, UNDP and MediaLAB Amsterdam are collaborating with The Spindle to find partners to feed the #GlobalGoalsJam 2017 with “local challenges”.
